The Délégation des Médecins Francophones en Formation (DeMeFF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to representing doctors in training from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation (FWB) in negotiations at all decision-making levels. Our mission is to voice the different positions within the three francophone university networks of the FWB and articulate them in public policies.
DeMeFF operates on democratic, representative, inclusive, and constructive principles. We prioritize collaboration with various healthcare sector stakeholders, including other defense associations for trainee doctors and healthcare professionals, medical unions, hospital federations, academic institutions, and political decision-makers.
Our core purpose is to protect the interests of medical specialists in training, covering their working conditions, workplace safety, and quality of training. Through these goals, DeMeFF also ensures patient safety during the provision of care.
To fulfill our mission, DeMeFF organizes regular intra- and inter-university meetings, forms task forces to address specific issues, conducts surveys among doctors in training, the general population, and healthcare professionals, and organizes training sessions on topical issues of interest to our members.
DeMeFF is prepared to initiate or join any legal procedure to safeguard the interests of medical specialists in training. Our defended interests range from work conditions and workplace safety to training quality.
DeMeFF is independent of any political influence, union affiliation, or ideological manifestation. In case of disputes, we strive to reach a resolution through conciliation or arbitration. If necessary, DeMeFF is ready to take legal action.
