The Leadership, Advancement and Development of our Young Sisters (LADYS) Program provides mentorship and support to young women of color in Charlottesville, Virginia between the ages of 14-18, with a focus on college and career preparation.
The LADYS Mentorship Program envisions young women well-equipped for life after high school, transitioning to college or preparing for other post-secondary options such as starting professional careers, while taking with them the necessary skills to effectively communicate and network amongst peers.
At a one-to-one model, female students from the University of Virginia serve as mentors to a high school females living in Charlottesville, Virginia. Our program includes workshops, bonding, special events at the University of Virginia, and family engagement.
LADYS Program CVILLE is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors, all members of Sigma Lambda psilon/Senoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Incorporated. The program works closely with the Alpha Rho Chapter at the University of Virginia.
