Somos uma destilaria que produz atualmente etanol hidratado, um biocombustível produzido a partir do caldo da cana-de-açúcar em um processo de fermentação alcoólica. Nossa matéria-prima é um recurso renovável, condição diferente do petróleo utilizado na fabricação da gasolina. Nossa unidade industrial, localizada no município de Cabo Frio/RJ, foi construída em 8 de março de 1971 dentro do programa nacional de álcool, o proálcool. Nossa dinâmica de trabalho possui dois momentos distintos: safra e entressafra. Na entressafra, nossos esforços são concentrados na manutenção da indústria e do canavial. Nesse período, contamos com cerca de 500 integrantes e proporcionamos aproximadamente 800 empregos indiretos. Na safra, período onde ocorre o corte da cana para produção de etanol, proporcionamos cerca de 1000 empregos diretos e 1500 indiretos.
