Drupon Lama Dorje, a Buddhist monk of the Drikung Kagyu lineage, was born in the Himalayan village of Limi. He embarked on his spiritual path at the age of five and later underwent a transformative four-year solitary retreat, delving into the teachings of Mahamudra and the Six Yogas of Naropa. After his time in solitude he was sent to spread the dharma in Chile, where he organized events, ceremonies, courses and retreats for 14 years. Lama Dorje established numerous sanghas throughout South and Central America, and is now based in Costa Rica at his center Dewachen. Lama Dorje leads sacred journeys to India and Nepal, and travels the world, sharing teachings on meditation and compassionate living. Guided by his vision of awakening consciousness, and inner happiness, he emphasizes the power of cultural unity, ecological regeneration, and fosters love, compassion, joy, and equanimity for all beings. Drupon Lama Dorje has received guidance from esteemed masters, including H.E. Garchen Rinpoche and H.H. Drikung Kyabgön Chetsang. He was bestowed the title of "Drupon" by H.H. Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang in 2018.
