LAMAR’s Floating net-pen cage structures are located on the north part of Strongyli Island, west of the Island of Rhodes. Production capacity reaches 300 tones with a processing plant located at Kritinia, Rhodes.
LAMAR produces Red Sea Bream (Pagrus major), Sea Bass (Dicentrarchus labrax), Gilt-Head sea bream (Sparus aurata), Meagre (Argyrosomus regius) supplying Rhodes local market and the neighbouring islands.

LAMAR’s goal is to preserve the integrity of the surrounding ecosystem with environmentally friendly production methods. LAMAR protects the crystal clean blue waters of the area under its mandate, making it not only a sustainable production area but also a unique touristic attraction.
Annual environmental quality assessments provided by the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research, reassures that any activity of LAMAR does not affect negatively the environment. Actually, its activity promotes the enhancement of biodiversity and integrity of the local ecosystem functions.
LAMAR is indirectly creating a unique natural ecosystem characterized by an abundance of living organisms.
LAMAR’s surrounding natural environment is characterized as a biodiversity ‘hotspot’, attracting different species of fish and even tuna and dolphins.
The location of the LAMAR fish farm is already a protected area, prohibiting any other activities apart from aquaculture, creating a nursery ground for living organisms.
LAMAR, in cooperation with Blutopia Diving Center, created a unique “marine park”, offering a view of the rich biodiversity of the Aegean sea.
This provides a unique opportunity for the guests of Rhodes and Chalki as well as locals, to visit the fish farm and explore and get educated about the deep.
