Launched in September 2023, the Montrose LandxSea Film Festival is more than a festival - it's an inspiring movement celebrating our environment. Located in the heart of Angus, Northeast Scotland, at the state-of-the-art Montrose Playhouse, we are igniting a passion for our planet through the power of film.
Produced by a dynamic team of professionals, including BAFTA-winning filmmaker Anthony Baxter, SF Green Film Fest producer Rachel Caplan, and Montrose Music Fest (MoFest) founder David Paton, we aim to establish the festival as a leading light for environmental arts in the region and beyond.
Our festival isn't just about watching films - it's about diving into a world of exciting conversations, innovative ideas, and inspiring narratives. From powerful stories ranging from clean energy to wildlife conservation, to social gatherings, family activities, and the highly anticipated Eco Fair, we're creating a vibrant ecosystem where cinema meets sustainability.
