LaporCovid19 is an Indonesian citizens' coalition initiated by individuals concerned with public health issues, especially regarding the current COVID-19 pandemic. This movement was formed back in March 2020, when the first cases of COVID-19 emerged and identified in Indonesia.
LaporCovid19 plays it's role as an information reservoir where citizen can report and share information concerning COVID-19 related cases/events that are often beyond government's reach.
LaporCovid19 utilizes a crowdsourcing approach by involving community members to record COVID-19 cases across Indonesia. This movement ultimately aims to help the government and the people to access reliable information about COVID-19 cases and situation in Indonesia. The expected outcome of this coalition is the making of a reliable data source which would inform policy-makers in policy-making processes and also assist those working on the ground.
