LARCC (Lakelands Area Retreat & Cancer Centre) is a cancer support centre located near the village of Ballinalack approximately 7 miles from Mullingar on the N4 Dublin Sligo road. The LARCC Centre endeavours to give support and holistic help to people living with cancer and provides a supportive environment where patients and family members can participate in it’s courses, obtain information and experience complementary therapies.
LARCC is the only cancer support centre that runs a residential programme. The purpose of the 5 day residential programme is to take clients on a personal journey of relaxation, reflection and recovery by skilled therapists, nurses and counsellors. All rooms come with en-suite facilities and individuals diet preferences are accommodated.
This is a well attended service and takes clients from across Ireland.
Call-in Service:
LARCC operates a call in service where people living with a cancer diagnosis and their supporters can avail of cancer support services including one-to-one counselling, art therapy and a range of complementary therapies including Indian Head Massage, Reiki, Reflexology, Massage and Tai Chi. The ‘call in’ clients agree to a series of 8 therapy or counselling sessions, arrangement by appointment and which are FREE.
Breast Care Service:
The breast care service at LARCC is available to Private clients and Medical Card holders. This service offers consultation and specialist fitting and supply of Prosthesis, Bra and Swimwear with a large range of stock available. To arrange a consultation with our specialist fitters please contact the Centre.

Pamper Days: Individuals or Groups who would like to find out more about the Pamper Days should contact the centre.
Bereavement Courses:, Individual one to one counselling, 10 week bereavement course or bereavement support group. Please contact the Centre to enrol for courses or to find out more about bereavement counselling.
