Laurier Moot Court (LMC) began in 2016. Its purpose is to develop members' research, writing, and oral advocacy skills by competing in national undergraduate moot court competitions. LMC's prominence in the Canadian mooting scene grows each year. In 2020, LMC won its first mooting championship at the McGill Cup. In 2021, LMC repeated as champions and began a streak of increasing success, culminating in LMC's first-ever championship at the Osgoode Cup, Canada's largest and longest-running undergraduate moot competition, in March 2024. Additionally, LMC hosts its annual Hawks Cup Tournament the second weekend of each November. Starting in 2020, Hawks Cup has grown into Canada's largest undergraduate mooting competition in the fall term and second largest overall. The 2024 Hawks Cup took place November 9th & 10th.
