Le Cellier des monastères regroupe les activités économiques des abbayes cisterciennes d’Echourgnac en Dordogne et de Timadeuc en Bretagne : affinage de fromages, confection de pâtes de fruits, confitures et tisanes.
21 religieuses vivent à Echourgnac et 15 frères à Timadeuc. Moines et moniales alternent vie de prière et vie de travail (ora et labora), mais la vie de prière reste principale. C’est une des raisons pour lesquelles les deux communautés se sont lancées dans une aventure commune, en association avec des laïcs salariés.
Antoine et Quitterie Dumont dirigent aujourd’hui le Cellier des monastères et pilotent les projets de développement des deux fromageries.
