Leader Ravakka Overview

Suomeksi Leader Ravakka on Leader-ryhmä ja paikallinen kehittäjä, joka toimii Vakka-Suomessa ja Satakunnassa seitsemän kunnan alueella. Kuntiamme ovat Eurajoki, Laitila, Mynämäki, Pyhäranta, Rauma, Uusikaupunki ja Vehmaa. Leader on EU:n luoma toimintamalli, jossa alueen asukkaat itse päättävät mitä alueella kehitetään ja rahoitetaan. Leader-tuki koostuu EU:n, valtion ja kuntien rahasta, jota myönnetään hanke- ja yritystukien muodossa. Toimintamalli on ollut käytössä jo yli 20 vuotta ja sitä toimeenpanee noin 2800 Leader-ryhmää eri puolilla Eurooppaa. Rahan myöntämisestä päättää paikallisista ihmisistä koostuva Leader-ryhmän hallitus ja päätöksiä ohjaa paikallinen kehittämissuunnitelma eli strategia. In English Leader Ravakka is a Local Action Group implementing the Leader method and working with local development in Southwest Finland. We operate in seven municipalities: Eurajoki, Laitila, Mynämäki, Pyhäranta, Rauma, Uusikaupunki and Vehmaa. Leader is a local development method used to engage local actors in the design and delivery of strategies, decision-making and resource allocation for the development of their rural areas. The method has been in use for more than 20 years and it is implemented by around 2800 Local Action Groups (LAGs). In the rural development context, Leader is implemented under the national and regional Rural Development Programmes of each EU member state, co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
