The history of the school in Münster already began in 1902. The first year started with 127 students.
By 1968 the number of pupils increased to over 5,800 and the school was divided into the "Städtische Handelslehranstalten I and II". In 1978 the "Handelslehranstalt I" became the "Ludwig-Erhard-Schule" and in 1981 the "LES" moved into the new school building where it is still located today.
Since 2007 we have been called "Ludwig-Erhard-Berufskolleg" or "LEBK" for short. At the moment, around 3,000 pupils attend the LEBK. They are taught by around 140 colleagues.
