Founded by three NCSU students in August, 2008, Legacy's mission is to unite the on and off-campus community to show that when students, families and professionals unite for a common cause they can help revitalize this area, raise money and supplies for local charities, and create events showcasing artistic creativity, environmental stewardship, and fun. Past events have included:
*Hillsborough Street Renaissance Eco-Arts & Music Festival (2009)
*Electric Co. Mall Design Charette (2009)
*Live It Up! Festival (2010)
Previously, Legacy has also partnered with the NCSU Sustainability Office and the Entrepreneurship Initiative to help promote NCSU's Earth Day Festivities and e-Games Competition.
