Lessons From Abroad Chicago was formed with a mission to create global citizens. We do this by giving students the tools to leverage their unique experiences abroad to help them advance and make the world a more inclusive and equitable place. Our Programs: - Annual Conference: Our annual conference brings together students who have recently returned or are about to embark on their abroad journey. The programming is focused on helping students to leverage their experiences both academically and professionally. - Panels & Workshops: Our content is focused around ways returned study abroad students can enhance and market their study abroad experience in their chosen career field. Learn from seasoned professionals that work on an international scale, or just how to frame your study abroad experience in your resume and leverage the skills you learned abroad. - Networking: Connections don’t happen without outreach, so our goal is to facilitate that for returned study abroad students. Whether this is at our annual conference or during one of our in-person or virtual meetups, establishing and keeping networking connections is something we make possible for our returnees. - Mentorship: We plan to launch a mentorship program with the goal of connecting students with a mentor within their chosen career field with a global minded focus.
