VISION
Let's Do It Mediterranean! is an international project that aims to conduct research about the trash on and inside the sea, to organize a logistic plan to collect it and to implement a long term communication campaign to educate and raise awareness about the influence that each individual has on the sea and sea life.
Let’s Do It Mediterranean! will take place in all the 22 countries in the region, on the 13-15th of September 2013 and it is eager to include at least one million people in its action.
MISSION
Let’s Do It Mediterranean! is designed as a five years effort, thought and developed by a group of individuals from various countries that came together as a group in order to sustain an innovative and greatly necessary project that will clean up the Mediterranean sea and work for excluding as many pollution sources as possible offering reliable and concrete solutions in the same time.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
• to identify the most prolific sources of waste in the Mediterranean
• to develop and implement a common logistic plan in order to eliminate and remove floating debris from water surface and trash from the shallow seabed protecting in the same time the sea life
• to conduct research offering practical solutions in form of new equipments and inventions to ease the cleanup process and to minimize pollution’s negative effects on the sea
• to create an international campaign to educate and act as an example bringing together people, nations and two continents.
