LGBT+ in STEM NZ has been set up in order to improve the visibility of the LGBT+ community within the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. In doing so we hope to improve the poor retention rates of both working professionals in STEM-related industries and students in STEM majors. We want LGBT+ individuals within STEM fields to comfortably be their authentic selves at work and throughout their studies.
