‘Life-Work Doodles’ was created by Archana Rao for the love of visual story-telling.
Why ‘Life-Work’ and not ‘Work-Life’?
1. Because work is a part of life. Not the other way around.
2. So far, we’ve been trying to design our life around work to find the ever elusive balance.
3. Instead, let’s aim to find meaningful work in our life that becomes our Life’s Work.
Why doodles with writing?
1. I have doodled and scribbled ideas behind school notebooks, on whiteboards at work, and on post-it notes all my life. It sparks joy and puts me in a state of flow.
2. According to MIT research, the human brain can process an image in just 13 milliseconds, therefore, 90% of information transmitted to the brain is visual.
3. And also, human brains process visuals 60,000 times faster than they do text.
What will Life Work Doodles be about?
1. To be honest, i don’t fully know yet.
2. But for starts, the doodles and writing will curate and distill key insights from personal life-work experiences, books, articles, podcasts, inspiring humans and light-bulb moments.
3. I guess we’ll learn and discover with each post!
What does Life Work Doodles aim to do?
The attempt is 3-fold (you can’t take the management consultant out of me!)
1. Spark dialogue on topics that enrich our life and work.
2. Inspire us to think, re-calibrate, and take action.
3. Build a community of individuals who seek their life’s work.
