The Lift Us Foundation (501c3), Mission: Empowering the next generation of superheroes; building strong, confident, resilient, and healthy young people using the tool of strength training and weightlifting. Combining physical training with mentorship, academic support, educational field trips, investing in overlooked and underserved youth. "Strong, motivated, and smart young people become strong, motivated, and smart adults." -Michael Jenkins/Founder Since 2017, we have provided a safe space for under-resourced young people in our community. We are a crossroads for youth of every sport, AND for youth who have no interest in organized sports. Unfortunately, 70% of young people quit youth sports by age 13. Once they quit sports, their activity level and health outcomes decline. Our program addresses this growing issue, as our program adds value to a diverse range of partner organizations, from sports-focused ones like basketball, soccer, and football to academic-focused ones such as STEM programs.
