-Developed curriculum and instructed students in English IV British Literature and Advanced Placement courses. -Performed adjunct faculty duties for Tyler Junior College offering both English 1301 (composition) and 1302 (literary analysis) as dual credit options for seniors. -Established fundamental introduction to the college acceptance process by providing college essay topics as English assignments, senior resume sheets for future recommendations, and scholarship and financial aid information as components of English IV. -Improved student body awareness of the consequences of destructive decisions by sponsoring the Lindale High School Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) chapter. Results included increased membership, implementation of annual seat belt check, and memorable Red Ribbon Week campaigns. -Pursued positive student/teacher relationships utilizing a student centered, instructor led approach to teaching, with focus on balancing results established by TEA, processes implemented at Lindale High School, and relationships built in the classroom through mutual respect.
