LITERAL book fair has become one of the key events in the literary, intellectual and political landscape of the city, attracting thousands of people each year and a large number of professionals who exhibit their books and where conferences, debates and concerts are scheduled.
LITERAL PRO is the professional side of the fair. Was organized for the first time in 2019 at the initiative of the publishers Tigre de Paper Edicions, Bellaterra Edicions, Verso Books and La Fabrique and brought together almost a hundred publishers. In 2022, these professional spaces, which take place once a year, were renewed. LITERAL PRO is currently managed by the LITERAL book fair organizing group.
The aim of the professional branch of LITERAL is to offer an alternative space to major European fairs, providing a pleasant environment where publishers and rights holders have time to exchange and share information about their publishing projects, imagine collaborations and assign or acquire rights.
