Intern to Work is a work based study programme for 16-24 year olds with specific barriers to learning and employment.
Our interns will enrol full time at a local education provider. Here, they will study a personalised programme covering employability skills, individual qualifications and even functional skills such as English and Maths.
During the course, the interns may attend work placements that are matched to their passions and interests. These work placements can last from 6-12 months and can be full time and part time. Whilst on placement, our interns will be supported by a trained job coach who will support them during their individual placement.
Job coaches will typically spend 3-5 days a week with the intern during the internship. However, this support can be reduced if the interns are feeling comfortable and confident in their new role.
Our job coaches strive to work with employers to create and support a diverse and inclusive workforce that acknowledges the skills and abilities of every individual.
