LKTrading, created by Captain Shovan Das in 2002, is uniquely positioned to trade and ship clean petroleum products and crude oil, including break-bulk and bulk cargoes, worldwide. This company has handled over 700 vessels and 5000 barges in the Port of New Orleans during a 20 year period. Previous clients include some of the biggest oil majors in the industry and experience in moving over 1500 containers in a span of 4 years. Other projects were hot rolled and cold rolled steel coils from Brazil to USA that were transported on company-owned vessels trading between Rio De Janeiro and New Orleans. In addition to steel, other commodities traded and shipped included guar gum, petroleum, crude oil, and oil pipes. LK Trading previously had their own scrap yard and demolished barges for scrap and additionally sourced material from different states in the US for export to India and other countries across the globe.
