Lloren Araza was founded by Melanie Lloren Araza in June 2004 - in Copenhagen, Denmark. Growing up, she assisted in the family fashion retail business, taking care of customers, sales and visual merchandising after school. She soon expanded her responsibilities and became purchase assistant, using her eye for fashion to assist in purchasing the latest fashions in Paris and London. Melanie soon felt the urge to create her own fashion and initiated an eight month internship at Munthe plus Simonsen in 1998, where she developed a vision and passion for her own line. Not long after, she was accepted into the Copenhagen Academy of Fashion Design from which she graduated in January 2001. In 2002 Melanie was headhunted and appointed Store Manager at the Karen Millen Store in Copenhagen, launching the new store with an elaborate fashion show on the walking street in front of the store. She developed her managing skills and learned how to run a business from a financial and managing perspective. Soon Melanie realized she had the tools and experience to follow her dreams and started tailoring and selling her own designs independently. In 2004 she presented two designs to prominent stores in Copenhagen, the Backless Dress and Top quickly became popular and in demand for their provocative yet elegant and feminine style.
