Longwood School Overview
Longwood is family run, with the business established in 1978. We are close to Bushey and Watford. Mrs Satoula Livesey, a maintained school headteacher, set up a number of day nurseries and playgroups in various locations in Bedfordshire and Middlesex in the late 1970’s. At that time, there was little provision for such care and it was her drive and determination that saw Longwood and Rainbow Schools and Nurseries grow under her leadership. We have come a long way since then and continue to thrive having consolidated to Bushey with some key staff to one nursery, under the management of Miss Alison Lapihuska and a main school, under the leadership of our headteacher, Mrs Claire May. Our high standards have been recognised very much within the local community and by Ofsted since 1978.
