The Lorusso family has been involved in the aggregate business since 1945. Between S.M. Lorusso and Cape Cod Aggregates, they have grown from a one plant operation into the largest private aggregate supplier in Massachusetts. Having grown up in the aggregate business, AJ and Paul understand the importance of quality products and superior customer service; and most importantly, how vital it is to have dependable equipment. It is from this education and experience that Lorusso Heavy Equipment was born in 2009. Through LHE, AJ and Paul are continuing the family's tradition of excellence by supplying a quality product with superior customer service.
In 2016, Lorusso Heavy Equipment partnered with Mecalac France S.A.S. to become the first Mecalac Dealer in the United States. Mecalac offers innovative compact class construction equipment that optimizes the application process for its users. Unique in the US market, Mecalac Machinery offers superior performance concerning flexibility, speed and process innovation.
LHE is also prominently partnered with Hyundai Construction Americas to supply southern New England's aggregate and construction industries with all of its equipment and service needs and was named a Top 5 Dealer in 2015. Hyundai produces an extensive range of earthmoving equipment: excavators (both crawler and wheeled), and wheel loaders. Hyundai offers powerful, capable machinery at an accessible price point with constant innovation, giving the end user a machine of incomparable value.
AJ and Paul have first-hand knowledge of the benefits and extensive capabilities of both the Mecalac and Hyundai lines. Their long-term experience with heavy machinery has taught them the importance of looking at the equipment from two different perspectives: understanding what the operator requires to complete a job, while addressing the desires of owners who require both a productive and cost-effective asset.
