Lyon Optics Student Chapter company information, Employees & Contact Information

Since 1916, The Optica Society (formerly OSA) has been the world’s leading champion for optics and photonics, uniting and educating scientists, engineers, educators, technicians and business leaders worldwide to foster and promote technical and professional development. Through publications, events and services, the Optica Society is helping to advance the science of light by addressing the ongoing need for shared knowledge and innovation.Optica’s membership totals 15,500 individuals from over 95 countries. Lyon Optica in 2019 which is a part of a worldwide network of Optica Student Chapters.Our student chapter was officially registered at the Optica in 2021.Additionally, we are financially supported by Ecole Centrale de Lyon. Our main objectives are as follows: -Ehancement of the quality of optics student life through the promotion of student community, student education and industrial contact -Promotion of optical science and engineering among the academic and local communities through outreach and educational activities -boadening of students’ insight of post-graduate opportunities by connecting our members with leaders from scientific institutions and companies employing physicist and engineer -Social and scientific networking with other Optica Student Chapters as well as other photonics groups Current board : Raphael Cardoso – President Paul Jimenez – Vice-president Adam Biegański – Secretary Fouad Bentata – Treasurer
