LostEtSea is an ocean art and science communication website created, run, and managed by Katie O'Donnell. As a combination of multiple passions, LostEtSea strives to create beautifully detailed artwork that displays biodiversity in the ocean while addressing conservation issues. The LostEtSea blog will complement the art pieces with science communication pieces related to the art subjects and extending to broader themes including fisheries, plastic pollution, and environmental justice. This is meant to symbolize the interconnectedness in communities, the environment, and the idea that every person and action are all part of a bigger picture. Informed by a multi-disciplinary background, Katie loves working with others to find imaginative solutions to challenges in ocean conservation with a social science emphasis. She is working to ensure that LostEtSea will continue to grow and foster an inclusive community that encapsulates this and more.
