Since 2015 I have been pushing for construction subcontractors to get a fair deal.
With high rates of business insolvency and delayed payments due to the supply chain structure, getting paid is the biggest challenge facing the construction industry globally.
I have started and run successful technology businesses but the role I find the most rewarding is as an advocate for subcontractors. My mission is to make a difference by helping small to medium businesses in the construction industry get better payment protections.
Following an international corporate career in business management and technology development and after selling my first start-up, I came into contact with the construction industry through assisting my husband with his subcontracting business. I quickly recognised some glaring issues facing the industry globally around delayed and non-payment – issues that cost global economies trillions in non-payment every year.
That’s why in 2017 I founded ProjectPay, a payment platform that digitises the payment process and protects subcontractors payment rights.
