The Lower Medway Internal Drainage Board’s drainage district covers the areas of Cuxton, Faversham, Hoo, Isle of Grain, Isle of Sheppey, Lower Halstow, Minster, Seasalter, Sheerness, Sittingbourne and Snodland.
We also administer the North Kent Marshes Internal Drainage Board which covers the areas of Gravesham and the Hoo Peninsula.
In total we are responsible for 122 miles of watercourses. We undertake work to reduce flood risk to people and property, and manage water levels for agricultural and environmental needs.
