Based in Toronto, LRI is Canada's preeminent Professional Engineering firm that specializes exclusively in fire protection engineering, Building Code consulting, emergency planning and consulting services.
Established in 1986, the firm is wholly Canadian-owned and has offices in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal (Laval), and Calgary. We have a full time staff of over 40 and we work on local, national and international projects.
We have experts with backgrounds in fire protection and Building Code consulting, municipal plans examination and inspection, construction and development, property management, research and development and fire protection systems design, manufacturing and testing. The size and complexity of projects range from small residential buildings to university/college campuses, hospitals and airports.
Our staff have extensive dealings with regulatory authorities and are active on many Codes and Standards committees and industry associations. This involvement keeps the firm up-to-date on future trends in codes and standards and in new technology.
We can help you during preliminary planning (i.e. Site Plan Approval, master planning), throughout design and construction stages, to final system verification and building occupancy, as well as regulatory matters (i.e. Notices of Violation).
