Lubaan is the Somali term for Frankincense. As our name suggests we're a Frankincense centric brand! Our luxurious resins come from Puntland, Northeastern Somalia. This province contains one of the oldest and finest types of Frankincense.
Frankincense is one of the natural treasures of the world, with medicinal benefits, healing properties for the mind and body, as well as part of countless beauty regimes. It is one of the most sought after organic products.
According to ancient tradition, Puntland was historically known as the Land of Punt, an ancient civilisation that primarily traded Frankincense with the Ancient Egyptians.
Our Mission
Lubaan's main focus is to bring good quality, fair trade Somali Frankincense straight to our customers. Additionally, we create skincare, haircare and beauty products that are Frankincense infused.
We also care about sustainability as a brand. In order to combat the over harvesting of Boswellia trees we plan to plant a tree whenever we get Frankincense from our farmers.
