🌍 Lunch Rescue Initiative: Saving Food. Saving Lives.
The Lunch Rescue Initiative (LRI) is dedicated to reducing food waste, combating hunger, and empowering students to make a difference. Founded in 2022, LRI partners with public schools to create sustainable, student-led programs ensuring no good food goes to waste.
What We Do
Our flagship program introduces cafeteria donation bins, where students sort and store unused food to be repurposed as snacks within schools or donated to local food pantries. We also explore other solutions, like composting, to maximize impact.
Through our programs, students earn volunteer hours while becoming part of the solution to food waste and hunger.
