M.E.N.T.O.R is a program that came from Hermanas Unidas de UCSB, which strives to open the road of opportunities to help underserved first-generation students with appropriate resources for furthering their education in life beyond high school. We aid in informing students about different pathways including trade schools, community college, CSU’s, and UC’s. In order to navigate education with more ease, we encourage students to take advantage of resources in their communities and campuses available to them, and to advocate for inclusivity and equity as they work towards their goals. As a program overall we aim to focus on academics, networking, and community service as tools to success.
