M-WERX Overview

M-WERX is a veteran focused rapid prototyping environment in San Diego. Our mission is to enable military and veteran personnel to collaborate, mature ideas, and turn them into successful ventures. M-WERX is designed to connect the warfighter with industry, academia, and government. As a rapid prototyping environment, M-WERX provides collaborative space, tools, and basic training for individuals and small businesses to move beyond paper ideas and back-of-the-napkin drawings to working prototypes with a framework for a functional venture. Being focused on veterans and military personnel puts M-WERX in a unique position to connect with military personnel who understand the challenges of being deployed around the world. M-WERX is in the process of assembling an OTA Consortium in pursuit of the SPAWAR Information Warfare Research Project. This Consortium will give non-traditional contractors, academia, small businesses, and other entities an opportunity to work with the government on cutting edge R&D.
