The Ma Collective's mission is to establish a nurturing community for pregnant women and new mothers, and help them transform the challenges of pregnancy into opportunities for growth and empowerment. At the core of our “Ma Circles” is a unique, alignment-based yoga and birth prep curriculum that not only promotes physical health for pregnancy and postpartum, but also nurtures inner strength and emotional well-being. Our commitment extends to providing wellness education for pregnant women and new mothers nationwide, regardless of their socio-economic backgrounds. We are dedicated to ensuring that every pregnant woman can access yoga, lifestyle education, and a nurturing community, all of which are vital components of a transformative journey to postpartum and beyond. Since our inception in 2009, Ma Yoga has been deeply committed to community empowerment and providing tools to help teachers change lives. Through our trainings and coaching, the 'Ma Circles' program has provided yoga and birth preparation classes to more than 18,000 moms-to-be. Our approach combines the physical benefits of alignment-based yoga with the emotional support of a compassionate community, complemented by a non-judgmental birth choices philosophy that encourages expectant mothers to both "educate and meditate." By training new instructors dedicated to teaching prenatal yoga in underserved communities via our online Yoga Alliance-registered program, initiated in 2012 and fully online since 2020, our aim is to decentralize and democratize access to prenatal and postnatal yoga classes, particularly in underserved communities. We envision the Ma Collective as a catalyst for positive change, fostering healthier and happier mothers, thereby contributing to healthier families and a more interconnected, nurturing society.
