In 1976, Mahmand started as a family concern under the personal supervision of its founder Mr. Muhammad Jan Mahmand. From this auspicious beginning, Mahmand went from strength to strength by introducing tea brands to suit every taste and pocket, sold from his retail outlet in Karachi's Jackson Bazar.
The company continued to grow under the management of the founder's son Mr. Noor Ahmed Mahmand. Today Mohmand Tea is managed by Mr. Waqas Ahmed Mahmand, grandson of the founder. A trained tea taster and tea connoisseur himself, Mr. Waqas Ahmed Mahmand introduced new concepts of tea and developed a wide range of tea blends specially tailored to the tastes of people across Pakistan. His progressive outlook further strengthened the foundation of quality laid by his family
