Established in 2014, Mainio is a Helsinki-based design company creating sustainable kids- & womenswear. Mainio champions a better future. The idea from the brand's very beginning was to choose ethical and ecological materials and to only work with partners who take responsibility for the wellbeing of their employees and our planet. Mainio clothes are designed to be lived and loved in for years. That’s why we work with materials that are as durable as they are good for the planet and its humans. GOTS-certified organic cotton is the building block of our collections. This guarantees that our products are completely free from harmful chemicals. Longevity is sewn into the design of our clothes: we favor designs that look good both oversize or fitted. We want to build collections that last for years.
Mainio is one of the few GOTS-certified companies in Finland and
today we work with our talented craftspeople in India, Ukraine and Finland.
