Historically, the power of design has only been available to those who can afford it, meaning it's largely been unattainable by 90% of the world’s population. But these are the same people who need design the most. We provide solutions for this overlooked population by tackling the problems they face every day.

• To preserve and restore our natural environment for generations to come.
• To empower everyone to MakeDC a better city through design.
MakeDC is a not-for-profit Benefit Corporation (B Corp), bridging the gap between nonprofit initiative and for-profit enterprise. We operate by focusing on the triple bottom line of social impact, environmental sustainability, and financial stability.
