As part of MYgroup, The Maltings is our organic waste division, dedicated to the full recovery, processing, re-use and treatment of organic liquids and solids.
Established in 2008 to aid with landfill diversion and the ever-growing volume of food waste, our facility has since diversified to handle the most complex of organic waste streams through varying methods of recovery.
The site boasts a permitted capacity of 250,000 tons per annum, which is split across our treatment and recovery systems:
• Anaerobic digestion (AD)
• In-vessel composting
• Washing and screening
• Mechanical biological treatment (MBT)
• Liquid waste treatment (LWT)
