Mama Connect is a social enterprise based in Canberra, Australia that’s all about helping mothers connect with themselves and others so they can ride the waves of motherhood with more ease, calm and joy. We offer a range of ways for mums to access the supports they need as they transition into and move through the early years of motherhood, starting pre-pregnancy. This includes: • 1:1 coaching • Small group workshops and coaching programs • Social activities • Referrals and connections with specialist services Our focus is on the experience of the mother as she/they go through the process of Matrescence – the transformation that happen for women as they become and be mothers. This includes changes in our identity, values, emotions, relationships, body, mind, work, finances and purpose in life. We recognise that women are experiencing multiple profound changes all at the same time, which, when unsupported, can easily become overwhelming. We believe that by providing tailored supports to meet each woman where she’s at, normalising and celebrating the need for wrap-around support and intentionally creating a variety of connections, we can help smooth the path for all mothers and set them up to experience motherhood with more joy, confidence and calm.
