Since 2003 MDLA has designed, sourced & produced apparel and accessory collections locally and overseas, using a vast network of curated talent. MDLA is a woman owned business, with an environmentally sustainable mindset, and a unique business model.
Our core team is small but mighty. Consisting of just 5 industry professionals led by fashion veteran Kay Marshall-Seidman, MDLA covers all aspects of fashion design, manufacture, brand development & market strategy. We’re a solutions-based team who has seen it all, we know the pitfalls in the processes, & can troubleshoot or course correct as needed.
Our creative network of graphic & textile artists, designers, technical designers, patternmakers, graders and samplemakers is “expertsourced,” our term for crowdsourcing creative talent.
Not only do we have all areas of design & production covered, we go deep in these areas, allowing us to pull together a perfectly nuanced dream team for your specific project. Need an innovative materials expert? Check. How about a sublimation guru? Check. Not sure what you need? We’ll help you figure it out.
MDLA is fully capable of handling any collection or project from concept through production. That being said, we are also ready to help with any part of a project where specific expertise is required, including Sketches, Tech Packs, Sample Development, Patterns, Fittings, Marketing Materials & Packaging, Project Management, Pre-production, Production, Placement & Support.
