Mayura Bake House is a family-owned bakery with a proud legacy that spans over 60 years. Established in 1960 by the late David Appuhami, a respected entrepreneur in Gampaha, our journey began with a single goal: to serve the community with fresh, high-quality baked goods made with care and tradition.
Today, Mayura continues to be a beloved name in the area — thanks to the dedication of his daughter, Ganga Jeewani, who took over the business at the age of 23 and has been leading it for over three decades. Under her guidance, the bakery flourished and became a cornerstone of the local community.
Now in its third generation, Managing Partner Sarindu Samarasuriya is carrying the family tradition forward — blending time-honored recipes with fresh ideas to meet the evolving tastes and needs of customers.
