Masks for Education Overview

Our goal is to help schools in under-resourced communities across the U.S. with personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect against COVID-19. Welcome to Masks for Education, a project organized by members of the 2016 Coca-Cola Pay It Forward Academy. We wanted to give back to our communities in celebration of four years since the academy where we learned how to use our voices and talents to make a difference. We understand that not everyone has the option to attend school virtually due to a variety of circumstances. We want to help provide personal protective equipment (PPE) to students and educators who have to return to school this fall. The goal of Masks for Education is to collect 100,000 reusable face masks (that are at least 2-ply) in children's and adult sizes to donate to over 20,000 students and educators in under-resourced communities across the country. If you don't sew, or would rather donate money, we are also raising $200,000 to help us purchase and ship masks to schools. We hope to supply each student and educator with at least 3 face masks each for the fall semester.
