The Department of Mathematics Education is one of the oldest departments in the UPI Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education (FPMIPA). It was first formed in 1963 under the name of the Department of Exact Science, which is under the auspices of the Teaching Faculty of Exact Sciences (FKIE).
The Department of Mathematics Education is divided into two Study Programs, namely the Mathematics Education Study Program and the Mathematics Study Program. To date, the Department of Mathematics Education has produced thousands of graduates spread across almost the entire archipelago.
