Matobo Youth Development Initiative

As a community based organization, MYDI puts significant emphasis on developing the youths of Matobo so that they become responsible leaders and active participants in their communities. It is the firm belief of MYDI, that young people have the potential to unlock the resourcefulness of rural and marginalized areas which are cut-off from development. The organization also recognizes the importance of the #girl child, putting an interest in opportunities that can be availed to them whilst providing better health care and security from emotional and physical abuse that is rampant in the region. This organization also promotes self-sustainability, and its ideas are built upon the Sustainable Development Goals (#SDGs) and therefore, communities are engaged from grassroots level in order to be uplifted. Research is the key source of information on ideas, projects, policies as well as stakeholders that have an influence in the region.
