McGovern Civils are a well established civil engineering contractor based in the Northwest of Ireland. We provide a wide range of services to both the public and private sectors. We started out as a plant hire company nearly 40 years ago, but quickly grew to successfully carry out civil engineering works such as ground works, ducting and pipeline projects.

McGovern Civils are one of the most experienced and proficient operators of trenchless technologies in Ireland, ever since the purchase of our first Directional Drilling Rig almost 10 years ago.
Since then we have routinely updated our Directional Drilling Rigs and equipment, to ensure we are operating with the latest technology, while also maintaining Health & Safety, and environmental standards.
Our Directional Drilling operators are specifically trained and experienced in the use of the technology.
Directional Drilling is now the preferred option in the majority of the utility projects we carry out. This is due to the many advantages the technology offers when installing utilities and crossings for rivers, roads & bridges.
These include,
• Quicker installation and construction of pipelines or ducts,
• Environmentally safe, particularly at waterways and river crossings,
• No disturbance of above ground objects,
• Minimal traffic disruptions,
• Accurate placement of pipelines or ducts,
