MDI-"Movement for the Development of the Interior"-which aims at the economic, social, political and cultural development of the Interior of Portugal.
We are a group of volunteers who have carried out various volunteer initiatives such one of the most successful -"Plogging Mirandela"- which combines the practice of physical exercise with the collection of waste throughout the city of Mirandela. Plogging is usually done while running or walking, but both of these activities tend to be difficult for us due to the amount of waste in certain areas of the city.
In 2018 we managed to reach the goal proposed by our team of 10,000 Liters of collected waste and in July 2019 25,000 liters, now the goal is 50,000.
Other initiatives such as tree plantation of native flora, distribution of aluminum canteens in exchange for plastic bottles, distribution of cigarette's bins instead of being polluting the ground, and many other.
We ended activities and initiatives in November of 2020.
