Michael Strout has been involved in Theme Park, Theatrical and Broadcast production for over 30 years. Born in Newburyport Massachusetts, Michael relocated to Orlando Florida in 1973 and immediately became involved in the fast growing theme park world as an employee in Operations and Entertainment at Walt Disney World. Over the next 15 years his credentials grew as he progressed from ride operator to entertainment technical services and eventually to contract systems integrator for Disney Development as a contractor for the Disney Institute Project in 1990. Michaels training came entirely from practical experience and his willingness to "Never Say No" when opportunities to advance his knowledge or skills became available. Throughout Michael’s journey in the theme park world his knowledge in video production and broadcast/theme park lighting design grew proportionally. He found himself with opportunities to work with such television lighting designers as Ted Wells and Andy York of Nashville Network and Olin Younger from the "Arsenio Hall Show" and "Dick Clark Productions" fame. Even among this list of industry leaders Michael gained the majority of his broadcast knowledge and skills over a 10 year period as he was mentored by Thomas Sharpe, known for his work on PBS as the Director of the "Mark Russell Comedy Specials" and for his work for GTE corporate communications. Michael worked for Tom on several award winning projects that culminated with his role as Producer for the International Award Winning Ad Campaign, "Fox Attitude" for WOFL Fox 35 in Orlando, Florida. The Key to Michael’s success has been his" foresight" or staying 1 step ahead of the industry, identifying client needs and what will ultimately sell their product! Attention to detail, new and innovative ideas and designs, quality workmanship, impeccable work ethic and "Never Say No" are the reasons he is still here. They are the reasons he will always succeed!!!
