MechSyn

MechSyn synthesizes high-performance materials through mechanochemistry, transforming fossil-fuelled processes into electrically powered ones. Our patented synthesis methods and highly specialized functional materials for the chemical, energy, electronics and automotive industries enable our customers to reduce costs, improve their product performance and process efficiency while protecting the environment. Our materials can be used in a wide variety of applications, including catalysts, catalyst supports for chemical production, battery materials, semiconductors, fuel cells, and many more. MechSyn is a spin-off from Max-Planck-Institute für Kohlenforschung and is funded by the EXIST Research Transfer Program of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection. As a science-based company, we place particular emphasis on research and development activities for new, disruptive market solutions that can replace or significantly complement conventional methods and products.
