Medex Ltd. was established in 2004 as a business project of three medical doctors - professionals in pharmaceutical marketing and a private investor. The competences of the company are mainly related to tender business – hospital and state tenders. The customer base includes all significant and financially viable hospitals in the country as well as the Ministry of Health as a central purchaser of select pharmaceutical products. The company owes its leading position to its customer service orientation and profound efforts in key account management.
Medex is a primary supplier of oncology therapies (Astellas, Sanofi, Pfizer, Merck, Teva, Sandoz, Bayer, Accord, Mundipharma, Heaton), blood coagulation factors (Baxalta), hemodialysis therapies (Sandoz, Ewopharma, Alkaloid) and critical care products (infusion solutions, parenteral nutrients and anti-infectives) for the hospital market.
The effectiveness of the company results from its flat structure and professional staff through the motivation, focus and flexibility in all efforts. Currently Medex is ranked 3d major supplier on the hospital market of Bulgaria. (IMS-2016)
At present the company employs 45 people. The staff engaged in sales and promotion comprises of highly qualified professionals – medical doctors and pharmacists, having extensive experience in pharmaceutical marketing and promotion. The management team members, being also shareholders of 50% of the company, have built their careers for almost a decade in the Bulgarian representation office of F. Hoffmann – La Roche. The company has the image of a loyal partner and a real market driver for the products it represents.
Medex is ISO 9001:2008 and GDP certified by Lloyds Quality Assurance. The GDP compliant warehouse facility is about 1,800 square meters with a capacity for 2,000 euro pallets. At an average 300,000 kg of goods leave the warehouse every month. The company has 5 heavy trucks, 5 small trucks and many smaller transport vehicles.
